This year Battlefords Union Hospital Foundation celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Wayne Pruden Memorial Golf Tournament on Monday at the North Battleford Golf and Country Club.

Fifty-five North Battleford Comprehensive High School students held a fundraiser wake-a-thon in support of The Lighthouse Serving the Battlefords last Friday. This event was a joint effort among three school groups — SADD, Interact and Me to We.

The second annual Capital One Race for Kids has raised $21,670 in the Battlefords. That total was announced Monday in a news release from the organizers of the event, the Battlefords Boys and Girls Club.

The Saskatchewan High School Athletic Association held their track and field championships on the weekend in Regina, and northwest Saskatchewan athletes competed and placed well in a number of events there.
