City taxes, and specifically tax assessment, were a big topic of discussion at the Battlefords Chamber of Commerce’s monthly directors meeting on Tuesday night.

Dear Editor As far back as I can remember, I have heard, at one point or another, the Liberals campaign on the left (all for the common person) during elections, but then govern on the right (all for big business) after winning an election.

The North Stars have come together with local RCMP to initiate awareness for drug and gang related lifestyles. They will be contributing to youth education in the Battlefords and surrounding communities for Project Forecheck .

The Festival of Trees, presented annually by the Battlefords Union Hospital Foundation, gets underway at the Dekker Centre Friday. Decorators were at work this week getting ready.
