Things looked more stable with respect to the wildfire situation in northern Saskatchewan on the weekend as emergency crews and military personnel continue to battle blazes.

Friday July 10 at approximately 5:30 p.m., Brian Franko was reported missing from Saskatchewan Hospital in North Battleford. Brian is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 5`8`and 187 lbs.

On Thursday, July 9, just before 8 a.m, the Battlefords RCMP arrested three male youths and two female youths after receiving a complaint of them walking away from a stolen vehicle in the area of 109th Street and 13th Avenue.

Locking Hearts Together

The Maidstone RCMP have received complaints regarding firearms being discharged on oil lease sites that are private property. The RCMP want to remind the public of firearm safety. At no time should a firearm be pointed at a person or property.

“Rules of thumb” are just that – general concepts or strategies that can be useful most of the time. But in every situation, these general rules must be checked against the facts.

Turtleford RCMP, Glaslyn Fire and EMS were called to a fatal motor vehicle collision between a motorcycle and an SUV on Highway 4 just north of Glaslyn in the early afternoon of Saturday, July 11.
