On Jan. 9 at approximately 6:15 a.m., Meadow Lake RCMP received a report of a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 55, just east of Flying Dust First Nation.

Investigation determined a car and a semi collided.

Officers searched the vehicle the suspect was driving and seized a conducted energy device, a small amount of meth and other evidence of drug trafficking, forged documents and unstamped tobacco.

At around 7 a.m. on Jan. 9, police were called to the 500 block of 27th Street East for multiple weapons complaints.

Detours are in place but motorists should expect delays in the area.

On Jan. 8 at approximately 9:30 p.m., members of the Prince Albert Crime Reduction Team conducted enforcement action at a business in the hospitality industry in the 3500 block of 2nd Avenue West.

At the time of his death, Trent Angus was wanted by Cut Knife RCMP for a firearms complaint on Little Pine First Nation that occurred on Nov. 28, 2021.

The increase is only a recommendation at this point as council still needs to review the budget and make any changes it sees fit.

On Jan. 7 at approximately 6 p.m., police were called to the 2900 block of 2nd Avenue West for a report of a theft in progress where car keys had been stolen.

On Jan. 6 at approximately 9:50 p.m., police were called to a residence in the 500 block of 12th Street West for a report of an altercation between a male and female where a male had been stabbed.
