Justin Wood, a 2013 Unity Composite High School graduate, is having his best golf season yet.

The Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame will induct Edwin Rolheiser of Rosetown into the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame as a builder Saturday, Aug. 16. Rolheiser was born in Macklin and grew up on a farm near Cactus Lake.

The last dismissal bell has run, the cap and gowns are put away and the trailers are out of hibernation and on the road. School is out, graduation is over and summer is on.

RCMP are requesting the public to respect the privacy of the familyof two people who died in a vehicle crash near Maidstone recently. Friday, June 27 at approximately 12:30 p.m.

There was a collision at the intersection of Territorial Drive and Highway 16 Thursday at about 6:45 p.m. According to police three vehicles were involved in the collision.

Children playing with matches were responsible for a fire on the 1600 block of 106th Street, according to the North Battleford Fire Department. Two pumpers, eight personnel and one chief officer arrived on the scene.

A semi and a half-ton collided on Highway 4 about eight kilometres north of North Battleford Friday morning, sending one person to hospital via STARS with serious injuries. Police were called to the scene at just before 8 a.m.

North Battleford's blue bins now line every street on pick-up days. In Battleford, where mandatory recycling has yet to take root, there is still just a smattering of bins set out for pick up every other week.

Dear Editor Anyone who participated in any aspect of the last two Wounded Warriors Weekends in Nipawin knows what an incredible event it is for giving back to those who have given so much. This year's event is all set for Slave Lake, Alta.

Dr. Larry Stoyko, who was the physician at the Borden Union Hospital for a few years, passed away June 1 at Didsbury, Alta., at the age of 61. Dr. Stoyko is survived by his wife Olga, daughters Carrie and Gillian, their spouses and three grandsons.
