Grey Cup doesn't hinder toy bingo largess
Any plans that were had for Grey Cup activities sure didn't hinder the attendance to the fourth annual toy bingo in Wilkie. The event put on by Prairie Branches (formerly WILS) was run by staff and volunteers and was, in fact, a big success.

My parents, aunts and uncles were all Rider fans. Growing up in Regina, I went to all the games and sat in the children's section. I won't say I remember 1957, which would have made me 10 years old, but that's the year I became a fan.

Shuffleboard cancelled, but canasta players prevail
First off a couple of glitches from last week. Tickets are needed for the play in Glaslyn Thursday, Dec. 5, and they are selling fast. The bridge is contract bridge, not 'contact' and Pat's name is 'Ribey' not Riley. Sorry.

It was an opportunity to hear from children from the Battlefords about their rights. Last week, National Child Day was celebrated in the Battlefords with the reading, by local children, of a charter of rights created specially for this community.

Armed robbery arrest
A man arrested in relation to an armed robbery earlier this year is being held in custody until Monday for a show cause hearing in North Battleford Provincial Court. According to RCMP, Steven Caudron was arrested Tuesday.
