Battlefords RCMP are reporting an armed robbery took place at a business in North Battleford shortly after 9 p.m. April 24. According to police, the lone male suspect entered a business on the 1900 block of St. Laurent Drive.

The man found not criminally responsible in an axe-killing in North Battleford was back in front of the Saskatchewan Review Board Thursday, April 25.

Emergency crews in North Battleford were called to the scene of a natural gas leak Thursday afternoon. The incident happened around the 1500 block of 95th Street.

Water flows out of Alberta on the Battle River have increased over the past week and these flows, along with local inflows over this past weekend, are expected to peak early this week.

The impaired driving trial of Red Pheasant chief Stewart Baptiste has been moved to North Battleford. The trial, originally scheduled for last fall but later pushed back to Aug.

Hafford Central School held its 16th annual art and drama extravaganza April 14 in the school gymnasium. Principal Dr. David Brecht welcomed the audience of friends, family and visitors.

Al and Denise Nichol are running in Relay for Life in Aidrie, Alta., in aid of cancer research, June 15, along with Al and Denise's children, siblings and their children, in memory of her parents Nettie and Ken White, who passed away in 2012.
