MALENFANT - Wyatt Lloyd Joseph Malenfant of Meota, Saskatchewan passed away on March 28, 2013 at his home in a tragic accident. Wyatt was only 16 years old but touched so many people and lived his life to the fullest in those 16 years.

Dear Editor In response to the letter, "Ban all genetically engineered food" by Ron Cox in the April 12 edition of the Regional Optimist, the fear of genetically modified/engineered food is most often due to a lack of information.

April 1 cards were cancelled as a number of seniors attended the funeral of a former member, Mervin Burgess. Mervin passed away in Pine Island March 28 at the age of 87. Funeral service was held at the Maidstone United Church April 1.
