I graduated from St Thomas College in 1965 then studied Commerce at the Uof S until 1970.

Past and present citizens of the year are now being honoured on a wall at Territorial Place Mall. The mall has officially unveiled its citizen of the year wall inside the mall.

October, the month that brings us fabulous skylines at sunset and sunrise, in addition to fantastic scenery as leaves shed and golden brown takes over our landscape.

I have worked in municipal offices for fifteen years in Battleford and Denholm, for the Battlefords School Division and on the Parks and Recreation Board. My vision for Battleford includes continued growth and sustainability of local businesses.

I have been working in North Battleford, as a speech and language pathologist, since 1984. My husband, Ken, and I raised our children, Karen and Mark here and are grateful for all the opportunities this community has provided.

I am a councillor and a grocery store co-owner, an active member of the transit committee and city representative to the Dekker Centre board. Infrastructure concerns are top of the list.

There is no question about it, the Battlefords Co-op Aquatic Centre has been one huge hit with the public.

Ed, my neighbour next door, found he and Ruby had a house full of company Thanksgiving weekend. Ruby's sister and family showed up completely unexpectedly from Quebec. Ruby's sister, Ruth, never gives notice they are coming.

By now everyone will have had their Thanksgiving and will have consumed at least one turkey over the holiday. Rabbit Lake had its annual harvest supper Oct. 6 at the community hall. About 300 people enjoyed a home-cooked meal and great fellowship.

I am the assistant Sales Manager at Anderson Pump House, where I have worked for over 10 years. Battleford has been my home almost my entire life. My wife Penny and I have raised our family here over the last 16 years.
