On October 11, 2008 at the age of 87, Mr.

Don Dupuis was born in Ontario Sept. 17, 1937, as the oldest of four boys. Later his family packed up and headed west to Saskatchewan and made their home in Bienfait. At a young age, Dupuis started playing and coaching baseball.

Bob and Lynn Douglas of Saskatoon have been spending some time camping at Silver Lake and visiting friends in the area. Bill Yaworenko, who was a lifelong resident in the Neilburg area, passed away in June.

It was a hot day leading up to the long weekend, but that didn't stop the city's talent from gathering downtown to raise money for the Credit Union CUPlex.

Clean up from the windstorm of July 17 still continues. As well as damage to bins and other buildings, many trees were taken down. The last few days it has been possible to work in the garden where weeds have been growing profusely.

This weekend so far (seeing as I am writing this on Sunday evening) has been one of the best of the season to be here at the lake.

It just isn't the image any community wants - achieving top billing on the Statistics Canada Crime Severity Index for the second year running.

All unnecessary watering within the city of North Battleford is prohibited until further notice. Production has been shut down at Water Treatment Plant number one for construction and maintenance on internal piping.

Relationships and self-esteem were the two main thrusts of a "Walk the Talk" presentation at Battleford's Indian Métis Friendship Center July 27.

All kinds of kookie activity drew children to Central Park beside the North Battleford Library July 28.
