HAFSTEIN: Gudmunder (Mindy) Hafstein July 23, 1911 - June 13, 2011 Gudmunder Bjorgvin Hafstein (Mindy), of Peace River, Alberta, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2011 in the Grimshaw/Berwyn & District Continuing Care Unit at the age of 99.

Diane Verishine, employee at Borden Co-op, was presented with a 15-year gold/diamond ring and certificate of service recognition by Rod Roenspies, chair of Borden Co-op Board June 21.

Graduation day is here. I imagine it is bittersweet for the parents.

Hafford residents saw something last week that most people don't see every day - a tornado. A funnel cloud was spotted by several eyewitnesses Friday, June 24 around 2:30 p.m.

Maymont School held a variety night May 19. There were several dance items, songs, a choir presentation, video presentation and an improvisational drama act. The program concluded with a video tribute to the principal, Bill Brand.
