A great time was had at Redberry Lake Regional Park June 12. Redberry Lake Regional Park is located 13 kilometres east of Hafford, just south of Highway 40. Special thanks to Russ and Karen McNutt who organized a day in the park's Redberry Bowl.

Twenty-two adults completed academic upgrading at the North West Regional Collage and graduated with bright futures June 17.

Speers Recreation Board hosted a Pirate Party in the Park June 4 to celebrate Parks and Recreation Month. Approximately 50 people attended the afternoon event that started with participants being assigned to one of four pirate crews.

The 2011 Battleford Block Party ended up postponed by rain last weekend. However, it is expected organizers will try again to hold the event before summer is out.
