TRUEMNER: Lillian May Truemner (nee: Allen). It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Lillian May Truemner on March 5, 2011. Lillian was born Sept. 14, 1916 in North Portal, Sask.

BURNS: Henry David "Dave. Dave Burns was born June 27, 1932 to Harry and Sophia Burns, in Unity, Saskatchewan. Dave was predeceased by his brother, George Burns (1983); sister, Doris Hay (1977) and his parents.

The third event of the Battlefords Jazz Society 2010-11season promises to be a fantastic show, and will include some well-known local talent.

A total of $30,000 in prizes was on the line as native hockey teams took to the ice in the Battlefords. Jeans Beans of North Battleford captured first place in the contact division, with a 5-1 over Onion Lake.

In the absence of the Hafford music festival this year, organizers acknowledged the importance of showcasing the musical talent from Hafford and surrounding area.

BAJAK : Andrew Bajak passed away on March 29, 2011 at River Heights Lodge in North Battleford, Sask. Andrew was born in Tenczyn, Poland in 1919, and was the eldest of three children.
