One new death is being reported Wednesday in the provincial government’s COVID-19 report. The death was on a person in the 70-79 age group from the North West zone.

Vaccines Reported An additional 18,423 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 1,023,698.

From the SHA: Effective, 8 a.m., June 24, 2021, residents are eligible for their second dose of COVID-19 vaccine a minimum of 28 days after they receive the first dose.

The Battlefords North Stars have announced Garry Childerhose has been hired as the new assistant coach for the club. Childerhose has previously been an assistant with head coach Mike Reagan in Flin Flon, Man.

The Battlefords’ Camera Club held their spring competition on Thursday, June 10. The club typically holds two competitions per year, but this was the first one since the pandemic broke out, and the first time the competition was done virtually.

From the RCMP: On Saturday, June 19, 2021 around 3:00 a.m., Ahtahkakoop/Shellbrook RCMP received a complaint of a robbery with a firearm at a rural location in the RM of Shellbrook.

The city of North Battleford is reporting a partial road closure on West Railway Avenue from Territorial Drive to 12th Avenue, 12th Avenue to 99th Street. The reason is for asphalt crack sealing. There will be intermittent access through the day.

Tthe RCMP Saskatchewan Crime Watch Advisory Network is alerting people to the theft of a truck in the Lashburn area. Maidstone RCMP is investigating a theft of a white 2004 Ford F350. It has a RBP Star grill and a visor with roof lights.
