Building permits are up substantially in North Battleford in the month of March. According to the latest numbers released at a meeting of city council Monday night, six permits were issued for $1,935,000.

City council heard the latest plans of the North Battleford Downtown Business Improvement District for 2021 at their meeting Monday night. Executive Director Misty Lavertu provided the report on the BID’s initiatives for the year.

One of two men accused of discharging a firearm at a home on Onion Lake Cree Nation, Sask., had a bail hearing today. The show cause hearing for Gerome Christopher Okemow, 20, from Onion Lake Cree Nation, was held in Lloydminster Provincial Court.
