Vaccines Reported An additional 6,941 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 162,695.

A new Memorandum of Understanding was signed this week between the Government of Saskatchewan and Indigenous Service Canada (ISC) to coordinate COVID-19 vaccines to on-reserve communities in the province.

Submitted by SHA On March 25, Saskatchewan Health Authority was made aware that our next expected shipment of 21,300 Moderna vaccines would be delayed up to six days. This delay stems from the manufacturer and is outside of SHA control.

A preliminary hearing for a man accused of killing Preston Thomas last year didn’t proceed March 19 in Saskatoon Provincial Court. Joel Yuzicapi, 28, is charged with second-degree murder. The matter is now set for case management on April 16.

A trial has been set for a man charged with numerous drug trafficking and weapons offences. Cameron Morin, 26, pleaded not guilty and a trial is set for July 21 in Prince Albert Provincial Court.

The annual ban on pruning elm trees in Saskatchewan to help curb the spread of Dutch elm disease (DED) begins April 1, continuing until Aug. 31. During this period, it is illegal to prune elm trees.

Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers reports that on March 1, this female entered a drug store in North Battleford and allegedly stole a bottle of perfume.

Battlefords RCMP are requesting assistance to identify this female for a gas and dash that occurred at approximately 7:25 p.m. on March 5 at a gas station in North Battleford.
