Municipalities of Saskatchewan disappointed in decision

The COVID-19 pandemic has cancelled yet another major trade show in Saskatchewan, this time affecting one of the Lloydminster Heavy Oil Show (LHOS).

The La Loche RCMP is looking to the public for assistance in locating 34-year-old Ronald Glen Herman from La Loche.

As of January 8, a total of 6,015 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Saskatchewan, with nearly 1,200 delivered in the last twenty-four hours.

Saskatchewan’s provincial courts have suspended most trials, preliminary inquiries, and in-person hearings until Feb. 16 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Last month the courts suspended most operations until Jan. 16.

A Saskatoon man accused of committing a string of robberies across Central Saskatchewan was released on bail and rearrested weeks later in December after trying to flee from police in Swift Current.

An Alberta man remains remanded in custody in Saskatchewan after he was arrested in December and charged with trafficking drugs. Lowen Diehl, 36, from Penhold and Edmonton, appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court Dec. 16 and Jan.

A man charged in connection to a violent home invasion in Unity remains in custody while he waits for a trial. A trial date for Drayden Clinton, 25, hasn’t been rescheduled yet. A trial was scheduled for Sept. 14 but it was adjourned until Dec. 16.
