Muriel was born on August 1, 1947, in Humboldt, Saskatchewan, to Andrew and Elizabeth (nee Stokes) McMeans. She grew up on the family farm three miles west of Guernsey and attended elementary school in Guernsey and high school in Lanigan.

It is with profound sadness that the family of Shirley Marie (nee Eggerman) Thoms of Chilliwack, BC, announces her death at Chitek Lake, SK, on Sunday, August 29, 2010. She was 67 years of age.

With sadness we announce the passing of John W. Freriks of Humboldt, SK, (and formerly of Englefeld, SK), on Saturday, August 14, 2010, at Humboldt District Hospital. He was 76 years of age.

The death of Mrs. Lena Louise (nee Hoeflicher) Heidecker of Bethany Pioneer Village, Middle Lake, SK, occurred at her residence on Monday, August 9, 2010. She was 89 years of age.

Freedom from the dreaded Parkinson's disease which viciously attacked our dear husband, father, brother, uncle and friend Albert came on Sunday, July 25, 2010 peacefully surrounded by his family at his residence St. Mary's Villa Humboldt.

Johanna Niebrugge, sister, mother, grand mother, great grand mother, and great great grandmother of Humboldt, Saskatchewan left us to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 6, 2010 at the age of 96. She grew up on her parents' homestead near Carmel.

Gerald "Gerry" Strueby of Englefeld, SK, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 30, 2010, at Marean Lake, SK. He was 71 years of age. Gerry was born on May 26, 1939, to Meinard and Cecelia Strueby in Humboldt, SK.

Anne Brataschuk (nee Korzyk) died peacefully at Stensrud Lodge, Saskatoon on Monday,July 12, 2010. Anne was born at home on the family farm in the Ponass Lake area to Alex and Ksenia (nee Zazula) Korzyk.

Bob Grunsky of Luther Riverside Terrace, Saskatoon, SK (and formerly of Humboldt, SK), passed away on Friday, July 9, 2010, at St. Paul's Hospital, Saskatoon. He was 85 years of age.

Maurice Edward Baker of the Annaheim district passed away peacefully on Friday, July 9, 2010, at Humboldt District Hospital, Humboldt, SK. He was 82 years of age. Maurice was born to Charles and Ida (nee Stammen) Baker on May 6, 1928, in Unity, SK.
