HUMBOLDT — The City of Humboldt has issued a notice that its 2025 road reconstruction and paving program is now underway. Several road closures are expected as crews work to rebuild and resurface key streets across the city.

From July 21 to 25, 9th Avenue — from 17th Street to the lane east of Barnes Crescent — will be closed to traffic to allow for full roadway reconstruction and paving, according to the city's statement.

The 2025 program is part of Humboldt’s multi-year infrastructure renewal plan, which aims to upgrade priority routes and improve long-term traffic flow and safety. This year, the city plans to reconstruct nearly 4,000 metres of road surface.
