Melfort man killed in collision with semi

Melfort RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.

MELFORT — RCMP say a Melfort man was killed Tuesday in a crash.

On July 15, at approximately 11 a.m., Melfort RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 41 west of Melfort.

Officers responded, along with Melfort EMS and fire services. Investigation determined that a semi truck and trailer and a pickup truck collided. The single occupant of the truck was declared deceased at the scene. He has been identified as a 20 year old from Melfort. His family has been notified.


The lone driver of the semi truck and trailer did not report any injuries to police.
