Johanna Niebrugge, sister, mother, grand mother, great grand mother, and great great grandmother of Humboldt, Saskatchewan left us to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 6, 2010 at the age of 96. She grew up on her parents' homestead near Carmel.

Gerald "Gerry" Strueby of Englefeld, SK, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 30, 2010, at Marean Lake, SK. He was 71 years of age. Gerry was born on May 26, 1939, to Meinard and Cecelia Strueby in Humboldt, SK.

She's back from her first international tournament, but she won't be home for long.Paige Crozon, 16, of Humboldt, just got back from a month-long trip that included Toronto, Spain, and France and a whole lot of basketball.

He's still got a year of high school eligibility left, but he's already made one of the top teams in the country.Jordon Hilgers, 17, was a member of the gold-medal-winning Team Saskatchewan football team that played in the Canada Cup this summer.

It's been a long time since Hwy. 5 west of Humboldt was open to traffic, but Jim Reiter, Minister of Highways and Infrastructure, thinks the road will be open soon.

Water has been an issue for many people this year, including the City of Humboldt and its residents. Now, they are rolling out a program that offers people a bit of relief.
