Drive-by procession to be held to celebrate HCI grads
HUMBOLDT — Residents of Humboldt will be given a chance to celebrate Humboldt Collegiate Institute’s graduates of 2021 with a drive-by procession. The event will happen on Tuesday, June 29 starting at 6 p.m. and going until 7 p.m or 7:30 p.m.

SaskTel announces next communities to get fiber-optic internet
EAST CENTRAL — SaskTel announced the names of 21 communities it will be bringing fibre optic internet service to. They include Hudson Bay, La Ronge and Watrous. Construction in those three communities is expected to start in 2022.

HUMBOLDT — Police in camouflaged uniform were active on the 700 block of 10th Street, north of Seventh Avenue, during the morning hours on June 25. Saskatchewan RCMP confirmed there is an increased police presence in the area.

HUMBOLDT — A set of “for sale” signs being used to sell a Humboldt home have been stolen. Humboldt RCMP said over the past few weeks, two signs were stolen off the front lawn of a 700-block home on 11th Street.

Most of region received rainfall: northeastern crop report
Most areas of the northeast region received rainfall over the June 15 to 21 period. Most of the rain was welcome, but farmers in some areas did report that they did not receive enough to improve the moisture conditions of their soils.
