The City of Humboldt is calling youth to action with their first Youth Council, and possibly the second of its kind in the province.

Brayden Camrud played the hero for the Humboldt Broncos scoring the overtime winner as the Broncos won their Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League season, and home opener 3-2 over the Notre Dame Hounds.

Highways on both sides of Tobin Lake are about to get smoother. The provincial government announced tenders for an estimated $220 million in highways projects. One of the projects is the resurfacing of 14.4 kilometres of Highway #255.

Humboldt was an attractive location to Bill Prokopishin when he started his Humboldt based dental practice in September 1967. Fifty years later, Prokopishin is saying goodbye to Humboldt and saying hello to retirement at the age of 81.
