BAUTZ: Arthur February 25, 1927 – May 1, 2017 The passing of Arthur “Art” Bautz of the Middle Lake District occurred at Humboldt District Hospital on Monday, May 1, 2017. He was 90 years of age.

RCMP are looking for a man who robbed a Melfort convenience store at knifepoint. The man, who was described as an approximately six-foot tall Caucasian with a medium build, entered the store at approximately 4:15 a.m. on May 11 and demanded money.

Nipawin’s council is planning two meetings to hash out how it will levy taxes this year. The town will have to raise an extra 2.2 per cent – around $97,000 – to meet the expenses planned in its budget, passed April 24.
