POPPL: Vivian The death of Mrs. Vivian Laurel Poppl (nee Allen), age 78 years of Humboldt, occurred on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Humboldt District Hospital.

BENDIG: William It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Mr. William Henry Bendig, 92 years of St. Mary’s Villa Humboldt, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2015 at his residence.

HARCOURT: Gary Richard Denis Gary Richard Denis Harcourt passed away on Friday, June 5, 2015, at the age of 62 years, beloved husband of Darcee Tessem of Redcliff.

HNATIW: John Joseph November 15, 1926 - May 23, 2015 Mr. John Hnatiw of the Bruno district passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the age of 88 years. The Prayer Service was held on Sunday, May 31, 2015, at 7:30 p.m.

WEYLAND: Lloyd Edward August 10, 1954 – May 27, 2015 Lloyd Edward Weyland of Humboldt, SK, passed away at Humboldt District Hospital on May 27, 2015, following a long and courageous struggle with illness, with his family at his side.

CROZON: Miles Paul February 12, 1967 – May 28, 2015 Miles Paul Crozon of Oliver Lodge, Saskatoon, SK, (and formerly of Naicam, SK), passed away at St. Paul’s Hospital, Saskatoon, on Thursday, May 28, 2015. He was 48 years of age.

It was an accomplishment for Humboldt’s Paige Crozon just to step on the court this past winter. The daughter of Leanne and Gary Crozon had her entire 2013-2014 basketball season at the University of Utah scuttled by an injury.

The Marysburg Royals senior baseball team kicked off its 2015 campaign with three wins and a loss last week. “It was a good first week of ball for us,” Royals representative Curtis Strueby wrote in an email.

In the inaugural Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League Draft, the Humboldt Broncos got their man in the first round – and then continued to add promising prospects.
