MELFORT — Debbie Sochaski’s life almost ended one summer, and she credits STARS to the reason it didn’t. Sochaski told her story to the community during the STARS heliport fundraising kick-off in Melfort on Jan. 15.

HUMBOLDT — Four acts from Humboldt will perform at this year’s Telemiracle. The 20-hour telethon, hosted by Saskatchewan Kin at Regina’s Conexus Arts Centre, will be on March 7 and 8.

HUMBOLDT — The latest artist featured at the Humboldt and District Gallery combines her love of art with a love of ecology.

The Witness Blanket, now on exhibition at the Chapel Gallery in North Battleford, is a National Monument recognizing the atrocities of the Indian Residential School era.

TISDALE — The Tisdale Community Library has started a new program called “crafting corner” to give crafters in the community a place to socialize.

HUMBOLDT — Those that have put Humboldt on the map in 2019 will be recognized for their efforts at an upcoming Humboldt Broncos game.

Winter holidays are over for most folks, but the weather has not been too bad. Roads were passable and mostly dry, so I hope you all had a nice time with family and friends. Apologies are being offered by the folks who organized the fish fry.
