HUMBOLDT — A mere three weeks after Harlan Coakwell finished the restoration of his 1930 Model A Ford, he was showing it off at a Humboldt car show that focuses on Ford vehicles. The Warman resident purchased the vehicle in July 2017 in Vernon, B.C.

MANITOU BEACH — The Village of Manitou Beach is about to reach 100 years since its incorporation on Aug. 11, 1919.

On a sunny afternoon, Aug. 3, the Shiloh Baptist Church and Cemetery was officially designated as a Provincial Heritage Property. More than 200 people gathered on the grounds to celebrate the occasion.

BRUNO — Bruno’s Cherry Sunday is back with music, dancing, food, entertainment, vendors and all kinds of fun, according to organizer Debbie Kramer.

Linda Rodh celebrated her 65th birthday July 20 at the Maidstone Drop In Centre with 60 friends and relatives signing the guestbook. This included her husband Bill, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The City of North Battleford Fire Department hosted a pop-up spray park at Connaught School Friday afternoon, to much fanfare and squealing. Kids ran in and out of a big misty cloud of water.
