MAIDSTONE – April 16 – Some of this may be old news, but it is of interest anyway. Denise Newton’s grandson Shae was on the peewee team that won the Saskatchewan trophy. Congratulations to you all.

TISDALE — The winners of the most outstanding duet award didn’t have to travel far to compete. Lexi Mutimer and Georgia Smith, both 10, were two of approximately 900 dancers at the 11th Annual Dance Experience, organized by the Tisdale Dance Centre.

HUMBOLDT — The adjudicators tasked with judging the approximately 800 dancers at the On Stage festival said they were impressed with the competitors.

MAIDSTONE – Cribbage was played Monday, March 25, with high score going to Dorothy Schwartz, who supplied lunch. Low went to Lois Myer. Bingo was played Wednesday with Margaret MacEachern and Bev Stewart calling. Lunch was provided by Margaret.

HUMBOLDT — A radiothon to help the Humboldt District Hospital Foundation raise money for new equipment has raised almost $73,000 as of April 15 – with more expected to come. The Equip To Care Radiothon was held April 8 to 11 in conjunction with 107.

HUMBOLDT — Gail Maki was 12 years old when she was first diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. That was 43 years ago. Over time, Maki stopped feeling the highs and lows associated with her blood sugar levels.
