It was the occasion of his 60th wedding anniversary that brought Brian Eyres to the offices of the Battlefords News-Optimist . He and his wife Maureen Eyres were married on May 9,1956, 60 years ago this week.

Curated and organized by the Organization of Saskatchewan Arts Councils and toured through OSAC’s Arts on the Move program, an exhibition in the Windows Salon of the Chapel Gallery is a surprise.

Crayons and martinis? Of course! The Chapel Gallery will be the venue for a special event for adults to indulge in some colouring and refreshments. Dubbed the Pink Martini Colouring Lounge, the event will run from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.

Earlier in the year, the Chapel Gallery in North Battleford was closed for repairs, but it's back in business with a members’ art show running until May 15.

The month of May has arrived and the Grade 12 class is busy preparing for their graduation in six short weeks. Their graduation will take place Friday, June 10, in the school gym.
