Colleen Wicks, local librarian, attended a combined Lakeland and Wheatland Library convention at the Travelodge in Saskatoon April 30 and found it to be informative. While in Saskatoon she also visited son and daughter-in-law Clinton and Kerrie Thomas and girls.
April 29 the Speers Recreation Board hosted an art and craft show in the recreation centre. There were eight tables and a good variety of arts and crafts. Even some of the younger community members entered their craft projects. The show ran from 2 to 4 p.m. and was enjoyed by all how attended.
