Kinball was one of the activities at this year's CÉFOU in Gravelbourg, participated in by students from École Père Mercure.

The second annual CÉFOU was the craziest cultural event of the year.

March 28, 29 and 30, students from Grades 7 to12 of Le Conseil des Écoles Fransaskoises, including North Battlefords École Père Mercure, were reunited to celebrate their French culture.

With over 460 students, the College Mathieu in Gravelbourg was plumb full of enthusiastic students.

For three days, the students participated in various workshops such as sports (basketball, floor hockey and kinball),visual arts, media (photography and movie making), science (CSI), theater and volunteerism.

For each of the workshops and sports activities, the groups are divided amongst the different schools. This gave the students a chance to meet others their age and create an exchange of friendships.

All teams participated in a circus workshop during their free time.

The opening ceremony was launched with performances from Shawn Jobin , Mario Lepage and the musical groupeOrange Orange.

The second evening Secondaire en spectacle, a talent show, explored the various talents of music, dance, signing and other talents. The winner will go to Quebec for a national competition.

This unique event gave the students a chance to have fun in French and socialise with their provincial friends.

As we say "until next time to our friends", we look forward to getting crazy at "CÉFOU" again next year.
