Battlefords Union Hospital Foundation's Festival of Trees is in its 18th year and again promises to be an entertaining, exciting three days from Friday, Nov. 29 to Sunday, Dec. 1 at Dekker Centre for the Performing Arts.
An Evening of Gratitude will take place Saturday.
"As our guests arrive they will be personally greeted and directed to the champagne welcome reception," explained Sandra Backus and Candace Whitwell, co-chairs of the Evening of Gratitude.
"They and their companions can then visit and stroll through the foyer of the Dekker Centre to view and bid on the beautifully arranged decorated trees, wreaths and seasonal items while listening to muted Christmas carols being beautifully presented by Brendan Legario, Jeff Arndt and Erin Foreman."
Guests will be seated for dinner in the Lawrence Banquet Hall and be served a meal prepared by Robin Peterson of Venice House. It will consist of four courses with a beef tenderloin steak and Atlantic lobster tail as the entrée.
Following the meal, and after dinner liqueurs, Martin Janovsky will entertain with his comedic presentation. The fundraising portion of the evening will begin with live auction packages, through the services of Kramer Auction Sales. The evening will continue as guests are invited to the foyer to dance to the music of Martin Janovsky and Hipcheck.
