Lisa Hornung and Jaya Hoy are holding the first concert of their new concert series, Music for the Soul, Sunday.
The concert, which will take place at 3 p.m. at Third Avenue United Church, will feature Romantic music from Viennese composers, including songs by Brahms and Joseph Marx and piano works by Brahms and Max Reger.
"Attendance at last year's recital series was consistently high, which shows that local audiences appreciate fine classical music," Hoy explains.
This year's recital series will feature a variety of high-profile guests, from James Legge, the principal viola for the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra, and Terry Heckman, the principal trumpet for the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra. Several local young singers will also be returning to North Battleford to perform.
