Great food, dazzling art at the Chapel Gallery

Artists and crafters will be gathering at the Chapel Gallery Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to display their handmade products.

Marigold Market features pottery, painting, photography, sculpture, woodworking, bird houses, knitting, jewelry, fused art glass, art cards and clothing.

Parents with young children will find a variety of baby items including blankets, tagies and kifi hats in Connie Jack's Sweet Snugglies booth. Using fabulous fabrics, Carmen Beaumont creates clothing for children and adults. Wilma Mitchell will display her quilted items. Known to the Battlefords for her knitting expertise, Eva Scott makes socks, hats and mitts out of alpaca and woolen fibres.

Bertha E. Klassen designs beautiful copper and silver jewelry. These one of a kind items are enhanced with pearls and gemstones. Arliss MacNeil, a fused glass artist, will display her colourful glass plates, bowls and art pieces. Marilyn Crawford uses a variety of stones and techniques to make her jewelry.

At Marigold, you will find a large selection of hand built and wheel thrown pottery. Mugs, bowls, vases and trays are just some of the pottery featured by Joanne Wing, Colleen Fleury and Brenda Lamb. Gordon Munn creates wooden items. Unique photography is presented by Michael Brokop and Ellie Russell. Delightful birdhouses accented with mosaics are made by Arnold and Anne Blixrud. Purchase a colourful watercolour from Irene Slotzer. Wrap up your gifts with an art card from the Battlefords Art Club, Battlefords Trade and Education Centre or Goodie Reid.

Tammy Bessant, owner of Earthware Face and Body, will showcase a large selection of her handmade items. She will be on hand to answer any questions about her natural and organic products. Come and enjoy a cup of Bogart's Bay coffee. Sample fruit filled chocolates from Eagle Hill Foods or purchase a delicious Christmas cake made by the North Battleford Bonaventure Lions Club.

BTEC has prepared a large display of their crafts and cards.
