The Maidstone Museum members, in conjunction with the local Girl Guides, hosted a Halloween party at the seniors' centre Oct. 31.
The centre was decorated elaborately for the occasion with ghosts, witches, spiders, bats and, of course, pumpkins. There were a number of activities to keep the children and their parents busy, including carving pumpkins, painting small pumpkins, Halloween pictures to colour, cupcakes to decorate and toss games to play.
Decorated cookies and witch's brew were available and there was coffee and doughnuts for the adults. There was a table full of treats and bags were supplied to take goodies home.
There were 96 children and parents who came to enjoy the safe, fun evening. Thanks go to all who donated money or goodies and to all those who helped with this evening.
The door prizes were won by Dante Loren, Anna Valliere and Brooklyn Zarowny.
The success of this event will probably mean it will be repeated next year
