The BridgeFestcommittee made two major announcements Monday: the headline act at BridgeFestwill be Big Wreck and Innovation Credit Union will be the event sponsor.
Big Wreck is well-known to rock fans from the latter half of the 1990s, with their 1997 debut album, In Loving Memory Of , going double platinum. The album spawned the hits The Oaf, Blown Wide Open and That Song. The album was followed by The Pleasure and the Greed in 2001.
The band recently reformed, after splitting up a decade ago. In March of this year, the band released their latest album, Albatross. The lead single has since topped the charts at all rock, modern rock and alternative radio stations throughout the country.
Big Wreck will take the stage at 9:30 p.m. Aug. 25, following the fireworks show.
