All kinds of kookie activity drew children to Central Park beside the North Battleford Library July 28.

The City of North Battleford summer playground staff and library staff worked together to create a Kookie Carnival for an afternoon filled with games, crafts and fun.

The kids were divided into about five groups and those groups alternated between stations. At first they all sat on the grass and played come duck-duck-goose. Even though at first they all played the same game they stayed in there own group to get to know each other.

After they all went to different stations across the field. Some played a game of tag while the rest got their faces painted. Plates were decorated and cut to make snakes. Games of capture the flag and red light green light raised the level of hilarity.

To slow things down a bit, the separate groups also enjoyed storytime with Marcie Engel, library assistant.

All the kids had a great time on a beautiful sunny day.
