The volunteers of Community in Bloom and the Maidstone Cemetery Committee deserve a big thank you from all residents of Maidstone and surrounding district. Each year they add more flower containers to make our town more pleasing to the eyes for all who come here.
Decoration day was at the cemetery on Aug. 12 and as usual the grounds were well cared for and showed the volunteer hours spent to make it more beautiful - not just for this day but for all the season. These volunteers spend their time and money so that everybody can enjoy both places. They need donations to keep going and anyone wishing to donate to either of those worthwhile projects can leave their donation at the local office and get a tax-deductible receipt. These are ongoing projects that will, with your financial and volunteer help, continue to make our town and cemetery attractive and a more beautiful place to see.
The Maidstone Hospital Auxiliary $500 bursary is available for students who have attended Maidstone High School and are in their second year of the healthcare field.
