Musicians travel to Wilkie

Maymont musicians travelled to Wilkie recently. It was my first time in Wilkie and I was truly impressed. I even had my own chauffer driver - thanks, Bert.

Maymont musicians travelled to Wilkie recently. It was my first time in Wilkie and I was truly impressed. I even had my own chauffer driver - thanks, Bert. And thank you, Jon Sloan, for inviting us to your home to have an evening of entertainment and naturally good food. Those who weren't playing seemed to have snacked all evening. (Oh no, not another five pounds.)

Thanks from Mel Deagnon to Sam Derbowka for asking him to play his guitar so he could play his mandolin this weekend at the Harvest Supper in Borden. And thank you, Borden, for the great meal. (Music is the only language in which you cannot say a mean or sarcastic thing.)

The trade show in Maymont will be Nov. 13, 2011. Anyone wishing to book tables, please call Sheri Babineau at 389-2004. More information will be provided at a later date.

Saskia's and Darrel's new CD will be released at the Maymont Hall, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. For more information and tickets, please call Carol or Mel at 389-2440. Tickets will be available in early October. If no one is home, please leave a message.

If you get the Friday paper Sept. 30, there will only be 15 days left before the Maymont Legends 2, A Little Bit Country, a Little Bit Rock and Roll. Tickets are going fast. For more information or tickets, please call Mel or Carol at 389-2440. It is guaranteed to be a great evening.
