New bingo players welcomed

Bingo was played at the Maidstone Drop In Centre Sept. 14. There was good attendance and a few new players have joined in this fall. Joan Smith and Margaret MacEachern did the calling. Denise Newton provided lunch.

Catch the ten whist was played Sept. 19 with Jean Hartman hosting. She and Hettie Richardson both brought lunch. High score went to Ray Hartman and low to Eva Inkster.

Bingo was played with a good turnout Sept. 21. Joan Smith and Margaret MacEachern did the calling. Lunch was provided by Norma Hougen and Jean Stewart assisted by Bev Stewart.

Walking to music is enjoyed by those who attend Tuesday afternoons. Walking with friends is more fun that walking alone and is good for your health. Host is Judith Holmberg.

Sept. 24, more than 100 gathered at the centre to congratulate Mel and Norma Hougen on their 60th wedding anniversary. Lunch was prepared and served by the seniors for the come and go tea from 2 to 4 p.m. An invitational supper was held at Sunny's Restaurant to round out this happy occasion. Congratulations from all of us.

Cribbage was played Sept. 26 with Jean Hartman providing lunch. High score went to Eva Inkster and low to Milt McMillan.
