President Irene Greer called the April 5th meeting of the Rivers Edge Quilt Guild to order at 7 p.m. sharp. We had 16 people present at the second last meeting of the season. The final meeting will be May 3 (the day after the election - please remember to vote). We will have a catered dinner at the Don Ross Centre that evening.

March was a busy month for the guild. In early March, Judy Bishop taught a purse class. There will be more about this in the May report.

Debbie Burwash from Corner House Quilts in Macklin taught a class on circles, March 13. Eight of us took the class and found out circles are your friends. Each member of the class came up with a different project.

Later in March, Barbara Sealy taught a quilt class called Shadow Box Quilt. Barbara saw this quilt in the Saskatoon Quilt Show, liked it, took a picture and then made the pattern. She did a beautiful job of the quilt and the pattern.

April was the month to elect new guild officers. The president is still Irene Greer, the secretary is Esther Johnson, the treasurer is Carol Johnson and the program coordinator is Pat Downie. Thank you to the past officers for a job well done.

The Quilt Guild meeting time will change effective September 2011. The meetings will be held the first Friday of the month at 1 p.m. in the Don Ross Centre craft room.

We were reminded of the Art Show and Sale being held May 3, from 12 to 7, at the Chapel Gallery.

There was lots of Show and Tell at the meeting. Show and Tell had purses, quilts and circle wall hangings. It was a wonderful show. Thank you, everyone.
