Aug. 24 and 25 the HMR Sport Horse Club hosted the third in their 2013 competition series.

This two-day hunter/jumper show welcomed local, provincial and out-of-province competitors. From the youth in the trot-pole classes to the jumpers in the 3'6" open classes, everyone had a great time.

The jump courses were attractive and challenging. Judging was fair and impartial. Food supplied by Country Corners 4-H Club was spectacular. Management was welcoming. Camaraderie, competition and support were excellent.

One of the fun highlights was the dog and pony relay race where a horse and rider were teamed with a dog and handler to jump a course as fast as they could. Great fun was had by all and this class will definitely be offered again next year.
