Shuffleboard tournament draws eight teams

Isn't life wonderful? I mean with this weather, it feels more like spring instead of winter. We'll enjoy it as long as it lasts won't we, folks? I think a lot of our tenants are out with their walkers or just plain walking in this nice weather.

I think a lot of our tenants are out with their walkers or just plain walking in this nice weather. However, in the evening there are still our social activities taking place.

We've had a shuffleboard tournament with eight teams participating for two days. After a lot of fun Cecile Dupuis and Mary Birch and Alice Bernier and George Milnthrop won all their games in the first event. In the second event Nancy Milnthorp and Harry Smith and Ada Pusutto and Bernice Claughton were the winners of two games each. The third event had Stella Gall and Bev McCrimmon and Mary Dearborn and Edith Lockhart winning one game each.

Congratulations to you all. We also enjoyed a delicious lunch of a variety of soups, buns with a choice of toppings and dessert. Thank you to the lunch committee that put it on for two days.

We've also been enjoying other meals. Jan. 13, we had chicken delivered from the A & W. It was so good. Then Jan. 27, Second to None were caterers for a tasty lasagna dinner.

So, we certainly do very well in the eating department around here

I haven't heard of too many visiting this month. However, I think Ann Ewanchuk is in British Columbia at present so I hope we will get some news of her visit when she comes back.

Anna Storgard has been away in the United States for some time. So, we'll hear all about her trip when she comes home.

In the meantime there is cribbage, Kaiser, shuffleboard, whist and bingo going on.

Bob entertains with good movies every Sunday evening at 7 p.m. He says they have at least 10 people coming to watch.

Get well wishes go out to Chris Pearson who is still in hospital. We hope she gets better soon.

That is all the news this time. Get out and enjoy these nice sunny days, but watch for icy spots, as we don't want any broken bones.
