Spirit day a colourful event

Thursday Oct. 14 was spirit day at Maidstone High School. The theme was "tight and bright." Students looked forward to this day with excitement and wore lots of bright neon clothing such as tight leggings, headbands and jewelry.

Thursday Oct. 14 was spirit day at Maidstone High School. The theme was "tight and bright." Students looked forward to this day with excitement and wore lots of bright neon clothing such as tight leggings, headbands and jewelry. It was definitely a bright day.

This Wednesday, the Senior Book Club will be hosting its first meeting. Ms Bailey chose their first book called The Help, which is about the relationships between black and white people in the 1960s.

Nov. 2, Grades 10-12 will be attending a career fair in Lloydminster for the morning. This gives students a chance to learn more about post-secondary education and the options they have after graduating high school.

Yearbook is also holding a workshop Nov. 4 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Our high school is opening this workshop up to students from surrounding schools.

This year Maidstone High School is proudly hosting senior boys' provincial volleyball Nov. 26-27. Everyone is looking forward to showing off our school with lots of school spirit and friendliness.
