HUMBOLDT — The Humboldt Fire Department is looking to bolster its ranks with new volunteer firefighters.
In a recent social media post, the department posed the question: “Do you have a passion for helping others? Do you want to be part of something bigger than yourself? Ready to challenge yourself and learn life-saving skills?”
Fire Chief Mike Kwasnica said the department is seeking dedicated individuals to join their team.
"Whether you're fighting fires, assisting in rescues or supporting your community — you’ll be making a real impact every single day," Kwasnica said.
No prior experience is required. The department provides all necessary training, gear and support.
"All you need is a commitment to your community and a willingness to learn," Kwasnica said.
New recruits will gain hands-on training, leadership experience, lifelong friendships and the pride of serving Humboldt. Interested applicants can visit their website.
Founded in 1908, the Humboldt Fire Department responds to more than 100 calls each year.
