Judy Helperl, Kim Rendle, Georgina Schneider and Donna Hall went to Beechy to represent St. Walburg at Royal Purple curling.

Donna Hall was presented a 35-year service pin.

An overdue bouquet was given to the catering committee for their years of volunteering. This is no easy task and requires extensive planning.

The Decorating Committee will get the hall decorated for the festive season events. The lodge's decorating elf, who resembles Terry, always has a surprise decorating the lunch tables. This month it was live flower in a vase.

All attending members' names were put into a bowl and the winners were able to take home a vase: Mary Novlan, Jenny Looshorn, Phyllis Imhoff and Yvonne Beeching.

Delores Volk and Inge Knopf contributed to this month's birthday fund.

A joint Elks and Royal Purple event will be a Memorial Day gathering Dec. 4 at 4 p.m. in the Elks Hall with a Christmas potluck and party to follow. Santa is also expected for the young children of members.

The seniors' Christmas dinner is Sunday, Dec. 11 at 12:30 p.m. in the Elks Hall. This will be the last dinner in 2011. The first dinner in the New Year will be Jan. 12.

The Dec. 12 regular monthly meeting of the Royal Purple will begin with a potluck supper at 6:30 p.m. with the meeting to follow. Members are reminded to remember their secret friends. This is where all the suspense ends, as names are revealed and new names drawn for the coming year.
