Members 70 years and older were invited to a golden Age Supper Sunday, sponsored by the Maidstone High School students.

A number of the seniors attended a Cribbage and Kaiser tournament at the Legion Hall Nov. 26 starting at 1:30 p.m. First prizes for Kaiser went to Verna Chatfield and Elsie Sack, both from North Battleford. Second prize went to Bernice Pellack of North Battleford and partner Caroline Smith of Maidstone. Beef on a bun was available following the tournament. Winners of the Cribbage tournament were Lorna Foster and partner Irene Johner. Second place winners were Ray and Jean Hartman.

Members of the seniors' centre helped at Pine Island Lodge Nov. 18 and 25 by hosting Bingo for the residents. They provided the prizes, did the calling and had extra helpers to assist the players when necessary. This is an outreach of seniors helping seniors.

Cribbage was played Nov. 28 with Jean Hartman providing lunch. High score went to Bev Stewart and low to Margaret MacEachern

The rugs at the centre were cleaned last week by a nice young man for Sears in Lloydminster. While in town he did three other jobs so the mileage was divided by four. An excellent job was done, so we are all ready for Christmas festivities. The Christmas tree is up and decorators are giving the centre a festive look.

We have all enjoyed a week of milder weather and not much snow around. Some places aren't as lucky.
