Thanksgiving camping a 30-year tradition

Tillie Linkert went to Loon Lake for the Thanksgiving weekend. It has been a Linkert tradition to camp on Thanksgiving weekend. This has been held for approximately 30 years. It has gone from tents to cabins.

It has gone from tents to cabins. The weather was perfect for all the activities and a campfire and visiting to all hours of the morning. Everyone was there from great-grandmother to the great-grandchildren.

Colleen Koski went to the Pine Island Lodge last week to the unveiling of the quilt made by various people and quilted by some of the members from the lodge and helpers. It will be on display at the lodge.

Beth Maves and Colleen Koski attended the graveside memorial for the late Carol Allen. Carol was born and raised here and is buried with her parents. Lunch was served at C.E. Wing following the burial.

Colleen Koski had Thanksgiving Monday supper with Riley and Chantal.

Our sympathy to May Ford on the passing of her sister Gertie Pumhery of Valmont, B.C. May was an apartment resident before going into Pine Island Lodge.

Dorothy Kissick had Thanksgiving Sunday with Rowdy and Tallie Stoughton and Monday with Craig and Theresa Kissick.

Jean Stewart had Lorraine and Jerry Lesak of Calgary, Alta. and Eileen Redmond of Kitscoty, Alta. to visit her last week.

Thanksgiving Sunday Jean Stewart spent time with Bill and Marion Stoughton.

Friday, daughter Hazel and I went to Marsden and picked up Duncan MacEachern and went to Cold Lake to spend the weekend with Ken and Pam MacEachern. The weather was just great and so was the weekend. We returned home Sunday.

Monday, Duncan MacEachern stopped and had lunch with Hazel and I.

The weather still keeps nice and although the leaves have all fallen (mostly) we can still enjoy the outdoors.
