Seeding preparations are not yet general, even though we are almost in mid-May. Fields are very wet. Leaves are beginning to come out on the trees. The crocus season is about over for another year.
Mother's day has been celebrated for another time. Among the celebrations was one hosted by Jim and June Hope of Lashburn. Jim's mother, Bernice Hope, was a guest at a family gathering at their home.
Helena Pike enjoyed a Mother's Day Treat Saturday. She accompanied Ellen and Maurice Oddan to Saskatoon where they attended a musical at Persephone Theatre. Her grandson, Mark Oddan, took part in the musical, which had catchy tunes and lots of humour. The story was of a fictional town whose citizens were trying to find a solution to their problems.
