MELFORT — Youth 18 and under in Melfort may now be receiving tickets for positive contributions to the community through a Youth Positive Ticketing program.

TISDALE — Nineteen quilters displayed about 106 quilts at the bi-annual Tisdale Quilters show. Quilts ranged from images of coffee to bedazzled patterns.

MELFORT— Vera Pezer read excerpts to a full library from her newly published book The Little Community That Could , the story of her own hometown, Meskanaw. “It’s the history of the community where I was raised,” Pezer said.

HUMBOLDT — The grand prize winner of the Humboldt Broncos’ Lottery of Cash has plans on how to use his winnings. “I’m definitely going to pay off some debt and then we’re going to get married,” said Palmer Talloden, standing beside his fiancée Karla.

HUMBOLDT — A grand total of $2,782 was raised at the Humboldt’s McDonalds during McHappy Day on May 8.
